Traveling the dirt road from Arenal to the mountains of Monteverde
Winding dirt roads through rain storms to get to the high country of Monteverde! The rainforest awaits us...this 40 mile drive took well over 2 hours! It was well worth the wait. We went to the coffee and sugar plantations, zipling through the rainforest and bird watching in the cloud forest!

Costa Rica-Trip of a lifetime!
My husband and I have been married for almost 25 years and last year we also became "empty nesters". With both daughters off to college we decide to start traveling. In the future,we would both like to spend a lot of time traveling through Europe, but last spring we only had a 10 day window of time for a vacation. We decided to travel to Costa Rica. At first we were disappointed that the European trip didn't work out, but then as we started planning our trip to Central America we really started to get excited. Our plans came together for white water rafting (Class III) rapids, hiking, hot springs, spas, rainforest hikes, ziplining, crocodile excursions and several different tours. The people of Costa Rica were amazing and lovely to spend time with. I highly recommend this trip! Enjoy the photos.
